Consultancy includes:
- Input for the strategic direction of breeding programs;
- identification of added value of molecular tools in breeding programs;
- statistical analysis of phenotype datasets;

- design of follow-up experiments;

Bioinformatics Consultancy: Statistical analysis of datasets
The areas of consultancy in which we are active are: bio-detection, bio-interpretation, bio-mining, and bio-infrastructure management. An example of such consultancy work is KeyGene Bioinformatics’ contribution to the Food Valley project in which in collaboration with the information technology company Vertis, a datawarehouse for the Agrotechnology and Food department of Wageningen University and Research Centre was developed. KeyGene Bioinformatics has also advised the Plant Breeding department of Wageningen University and Research Centre on a pooling and physical mapping strategy within the context of a KeyMaps project.
Consultancy on molecular genetics and the practical side of implementing molecular marker technology in breeding programs is a standard element of the KeyGene InnovatorsClub membership.
